We had a 5-day tour of Provence, including the dramatic Verdons Gorge (and the climbing that went with it!). Andy and Jane are good company, their preparation in terms of route-planning and accommodation was faultless, and they were unfazed by some last-minute alterations to suit the group. Nothing was too much trouble, and they always seemed to be in the right place for assistance with route-finding and water supplies.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and couldn’t have been better looked after.
We can recommend Fellow Velo as the perfect choice if you’re looking for a bespoke trip and truly excellent service.

Andy and Jane did a fabulous job organizing our 5 day southern France bike tour. They picked perfect accommodations, had flawless maps and directions, the bikes were great and the itinerary was exactly what we were looking for. I would highly recommend using them and can’t wait to go back and do another trip with Fellow Velo!

Our family of five had an amazing 5 day cycling holiday on the Canal du Garonne. Andy and Jane were both incredibly responsive to all our emails back and forth in the planning stages of the holiday and helped devise a trip that suited our family perfectly. They chose cycling routes that were flat and safe and accommodation that fitted us all and tolerated three young children well. Andy accompanied us on our trip and he was unerringly friendly and accommodating. His patience with our three children was remarkable and all our children looked forward to seeing Andy at the start and end of each day. The bicycles and all the gear were in excellent condition and a pleasure to ride. Maps and routes were well planned and Andy drove ahead to check on any road links to make sure they were safe and appropriate for us. In some cases he took the children in the car whilst we rode on a busier section of road. Andy had an amazing ability to be available and helpful whenever we needed him whilst still allowing us our privacy and the feeling of being on our own family adventure. On numerous occasions he took us shopping to local supermarkets so we could stock up on picnic food and snacks and didn’t need to eat out at restaurants which is expensive with a whole family. It was the ideal family holiday for an active family and we were sad to finish after our five days. I do not hesitate to recommend FellowVelo to other families. We are already planning to return!

Jane and Andy went to great lengths planning a trip to suit our requirements – a 5 day ride through Provence. They arranged an interesting route and wonderful accommodation, with plenty of information in advance to help with decision making.

They are very customer service focused and nothing is too much trouble. I would recommend using them for any cycling trip you are planning.

My pal and I ( a couple of 70 somethings) undertook a supported personalised trip over thirteen days from Geneva to Arles. This was nominally on the Via Rhona. All accomodation was booked by Fellow Vélo which also provided bikes, maps , transportation of bags , daily briefings and even the odd lift to the starting point of the day’s ride. There were a couple of hiccups with our navigational deficiencies but the whole thing went smoothly. Andy and Jane helped to provide a really worthwhile and enjoyable experience. I recommend them to anyone who is thinking of a French cycling holiday.

We have just returned from a 7-day cycling tour in Provence. The holiday that Jane and Andy at Fellow Velo organised for us provided the perfect blend of activity, culture and relaxation that we were hoping for. We are not regular cyclists and I was rather less confident than my husband about the cycling, but the routes given to us were carefully planned to ease me in gently and gradually build up to more challenging and longer rides. There was a good mixture of riding on roads, cycle paths and tracks. Bikes and additional equipment such as panniers, locks, lights and toolkits were provided and the daily route directions and maps were clear and easy to use. Jane and Andy have a great knowledge of all things French and are clearly passionate about giving their customers the best holiday experiences. All of the hotels and chambres d’hotes that they chose for us to stay in were beautiful, very comfortable and had all the facilities that we needed to relax after a day on the bikes. In Sainte-Maxime we ate at one of Jane’s favourite restaurants that she recommended to us and we were certainly not disappointed! We also had a fabulous day on a guided ride with Andy between vineyards where we tasted some of the best wines of the region and enjoyed a picnic prepared by Jane. The service provided by Andy and Jane surpassed all our expectations! We would recommend Fellow Velo to anyone who fancies trying a cycling tour in France and we hope to book another holiday with them in the future.

I would highly recommend FellowVelo. Andy and Jane were very responsive during the planning part of our trip and tailored our experience to what we wanted. We did a 7 day trip of the Provence region. The routes they provided gave us a lot of diversity of terrain and scenery. The accommodations were very good and all the plans went smoothly. Andy and Jane ensured we were comfortable with the directions every day and checked in regularly to see if we needed anything. They often went beyond expectations with things like making dinner reservations for us and providing many helpful hints and fun suggestions regarding our bike routes. They provided all the equipment we needed and were very responsive to any questions or issues we had on our trip. In addition to providing outstanding service, Andy and Jane were very fun and interesting people and it was a joy to get to know them. Many thanks for a great experience Andy and Jane!

My very first cycling holiday (and riding on the ‘wrong’ side of the road) and I was not disappointed. Each day was carefully planned and Andy and Jane were very thorough in organising our routes. Got ‘lost’ a few times (due to my non-existent navigational skills) but both Jane and Andy were on hand to get us back on track. Also, the French people were very friendly and helpful when I asked for directions. Equipment provided were robust and very reliable. Accommodation (hotel and b&b) were also good – just bear in mind that the French breakfast usually consists of coffee, fruits, bread, butter, jam / honey and cereals – so make sure to put in extra requests for eggs (if needed).
Also, no kettle facilities in the rooms … so may be bring a flask (which I’ll do on my next trip) and spare tea bags or coffee – if like me, you are accustomed to the usual cuppa after a day out!

Although it made for a longer day for Jane, she drove us back to Nice airport along the coast. Overall, it was a great experience – nothing was too much trouble for Jane and Andy. If you would like to go on a bespoke cycling holiday in France, I will definitely recommend doing it via Fellow Velo :-)

A long held dream come true,to cycle in France especially Provence. I was very impressed with Jane and Andy’s Fellowvelo tour and the routes they had chosen were varied in terrain from col to coast and all that lies between.
The bikes were very good and reliable as were the maps and route notes . The only shortfall was in my map reading skills!
The accommodations were very good and varied and I found the French people very helpful .
Jane and Andy were the most friendly and helpful people I’ve had the pleasure to meet and nothing was to much trouble for them. I can thoroughly recommend Fellowvelo to anyone who wants to try a cycling tour in France

Planning a cycling trip with three children and a grandpa ranging in age from 6 to 88 was looking tricky. We’d had several fabulous tours before children arrived but were daunted at the prospect of combining beautiful views with safe routes and the logistics were terrifying. None of the off the shelf packages we saw fit so were delighted to stumble upon Fellow Velo. From the beginning of the planning process they were constructive, sympathetic and clear. They cheerfully accommodated our uncertainties, particularly around how much grandpa would be able to do. Once we arrived everything became easy. From bike fitting to route directions all was clear and not at all overwhelming. And on the road it was a delight. The itineraries and support were fab. And coming across Andy in his van when he just happened to be waiting by a tricky junction was a welcome treat. Overall the views, the villages and the vineyards were spectacular. And we felt looked after and supported every turn of the crank.

As Fellow Velo competition winners we were already on a high arriving in Provence! The cycling tours provided took us through some beautiful rolling countryside with fantastic views. The routes were varied, both on and off-road, and took us to places we would have been very unlikely to come across if we’d made our own way – and the wonderfully detailed maps made the journies easily navigable. Andy and Jane were fantastically helpful, and were always on hand when need arose to offer willing assistance. The accommodation provided was perfect – and the hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. All in all, it was a wonderful trip and we’re missing Provence greatly. We’ll certainly be making a return to see what else Fellow Velo and Provence have to offer! Thanks again!

My wife and I, aged 72 and 80, veterans of 25 cycling trips in Wales, England, France, Italy and Switzerland, most of them self-planned, enjoyed a fabulous trip in eastern Provence, designed in collaboration with Andy and Jane that took us on a route and to places we would otherwise never have been able to cycle to. Their warm, personal attention and support is what made it possible–picking us up, taking us to the top of locations we could not have ridden up to, providing us with deliriously beautiful and exciting rides above the gorge in the Verdon Natural Park and down from the top of the Massif des Maures, always with detailed maps and suggestions. They provided us a variety of distinctive lodging in unique villages, moved our luggage, were always available for any concerns, and made our trip truly superb. We can’t recommend them too strongly, have passed on their names to a number of our friends, and are already thinking of another travel adventure with them. Their attentive and truly personal care make Andy and Jane truly unique.
