We had a 5-day tour of Provence, including the dramatic Verdons Gorge (and the climbing that went with it!). Andy and Jane are good company, their preparation in terms of route-planning and accommodation was faultless, and they were unfazed by some last-minute alterations to suit the group. Nothing was too much trouble, and they always seemed to be in the right place for assistance with route-finding and water supplies.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and couldn’t have been better looked after.
We can recommend Fellow Velo as the perfect choice if you’re looking for a bespoke trip and truly excellent service.

Andy and Jane did a fabulous job organizing our 5 day southern France bike tour. They picked perfect accommodations, had flawless maps and directions, the bikes were great and the itinerary was exactly what we were looking for. I would highly recommend using them and can’t wait to go back and do another trip with Fellow Velo!

Our family of five had an amazing 5 day cycling holiday on the Canal du Garonne. Andy and Jane were both incredibly responsive to all our emails back and forth in the planning stages of the holiday and helped devise a trip that suited our family perfectly. They chose cycling routes that were flat and safe and accommodation that fitted us all and tolerated three young children well. Andy accompanied us on our trip and he was unerringly friendly and accommodating. His patience with our three children was remarkable and all our children looked forward to seeing Andy at the start and end of each day. The bicycles and all the gear were in excellent condition and a pleasure to ride. Maps and routes were well planned and Andy drove ahead to check on any road links to make sure they were safe and appropriate for us. In some cases he took the children in the car whilst we rode on a busier section of road. Andy had an amazing ability to be available and helpful whenever we needed him whilst still allowing us our privacy and the feeling of being on our own family adventure. On numerous occasions he took us shopping to local supermarkets so we could stock up on picnic food and snacks and didn’t need to eat out at restaurants which is expensive with a whole family. It was the ideal family holiday for an active family and we were sad to finish after our five days. I do not hesitate to recommend FellowVelo to other families. We are already planning to return!

Jane and Andy went to great lengths planning a trip to suit our requirements – a 5 day ride through Provence. They arranged an interesting route and wonderful accommodation, with plenty of information in advance to help with decision making.

They are very customer service focused and nothing is too much trouble. I would recommend using them for any cycling trip you are planning.

My pal and I ( a couple of 70 somethings) undertook a supported personalised trip over thirteen days from Geneva to Arles. This was nominally on the Via Rhona. All accomodation was booked by Fellow Vélo which also provided bikes, maps , transportation of bags , daily briefings and even the odd lift to the starting point of the day’s ride. There were a couple of hiccups with our navigational deficiencies but the whole thing went smoothly. Andy and Jane helped to provide a really worthwhile and enjoyable experience. I recommend them to anyone who is thinking of a French cycling holiday.

We have just returned from a 7-day cycling tour in Provence. The holiday that Jane and Andy at Fellow Velo organised for us provided the perfect blend of activity, culture and relaxation that we were hoping for. We are not regular cyclists and I was rather less confident than my husband about the cycling, but the routes given to us were carefully planned to ease me in gently and gradually build up to more challenging and longer rides. There was a good mixture of riding on roads, cycle paths and tracks. Bikes and additional equipment such as panniers, locks, lights and toolkits were provided and the daily route directions and maps were clear and easy to use. Jane and Andy have a great knowledge of all things French and are clearly passionate about giving their customers the best holiday experiences. All of the hotels and chambres d’hotes that they chose for us to stay in were beautiful, very comfortable and had all the facilities that we needed to relax after a day on the bikes. In Sainte-Maxime we ate at one of Jane’s favourite restaurants that she recommended to us and we were certainly not disappointed! We also had a fabulous day on a guided ride with Andy between vineyards where we tasted some of the best wines of the region and enjoyed a picnic prepared by Jane. The service provided by Andy and Jane surpassed all our expectations! We would recommend Fellow Velo to anyone who fancies trying a cycling tour in France and we hope to book another holiday with them in the future.

I would highly recommend FellowVelo. Andy and Jane were very responsive during the planning part of our trip and tailored our experience to what we wanted. We did a 7 day trip of the Provence region. The routes they provided gave us a lot of diversity of terrain and scenery. The accommodations were very good and all the plans went smoothly. Andy and Jane ensured we were comfortable with the directions every day and checked in regularly to see if we needed anything. They often went beyond expectations with things like making dinner reservations for us and providing many helpful hints and fun suggestions regarding our bike routes. They provided all the equipment we needed and were very responsive to any questions or issues we had on our trip. In addition to providing outstanding service, Andy and Jane were very fun and interesting people and it was a joy to get to know them. Many thanks for a great experience Andy and Jane!

My very first cycling holiday (and riding on the ‘wrong’ side of the road) and I was not disappointed. Each day was carefully planned and Andy and Jane were very thorough in organising our routes. Got ‘lost’ a few times (due to my non-existent navigational skills) but both Jane and Andy were on hand to get us back on track. Also, the French people were very friendly and helpful when I asked for directions. Equipment provided were robust and very reliable. Accommodation (hotel and b&b) were also good – just bear in mind that the French breakfast usually consists of coffee, fruits, bread, butter, jam / honey and cereals – so make sure to put in extra requests for eggs (if needed).
Also, no kettle facilities in the rooms … so may be bring a flask (which I’ll do on my next trip) and spare tea bags or coffee – if like me, you are accustomed to the usual cuppa after a day out!

Although it made for a longer day for Jane, she drove us back to Nice airport along the coast. Overall, it was a great experience – nothing was too much trouble for Jane and Andy. If you would like to go on a bespoke cycling holiday in France, I will definitely recommend doing it via Fellow Velo :-)

A long held dream come true,to cycle in France especially Provence. I was very impressed with Jane and Andy’s Fellowvelo tour and the routes they had chosen were varied in terrain from col to coast and all that lies between.
The bikes were very good and reliable as were the maps and route notes . The only shortfall was in my map reading skills!
The accommodations were very good and varied and I found the French people very helpful .
Jane and Andy were the most friendly and helpful people I’ve had the pleasure to meet and nothing was to much trouble for them. I can thoroughly recommend Fellowvelo to anyone who wants to try a cycling tour in France

Planning a cycling trip with three children and a grandpa ranging in age from 6 to 88 was looking tricky. We’d had several fabulous tours before children arrived but were daunted at the prospect of combining beautiful views with safe routes and the logistics were terrifying. None of the off the shelf packages we saw fit so were delighted to stumble upon Fellow Velo. From the beginning of the planning process they were constructive, sympathetic and clear. They cheerfully accommodated our uncertainties, particularly around how much grandpa would be able to do. Once we arrived everything became easy. From bike fitting to route directions all was clear and not at all overwhelming. And on the road it was a delight. The itineraries and support were fab. And coming across Andy in his van when he just happened to be waiting by a tricky junction was a welcome treat. Overall the views, the villages and the vineyards were spectacular. And we felt looked after and supported every turn of the crank.

As Fellow Velo competition winners we were already on a high arriving in Provence! The cycling tours provided took us through some beautiful rolling countryside with fantastic views. The routes were varied, both on and off-road, and took us to places we would have been very unlikely to come across if we’d made our own way – and the wonderfully detailed maps made the journies easily navigable. Andy and Jane were fantastically helpful, and were always on hand when need arose to offer willing assistance. The accommodation provided was perfect – and the hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. All in all, it was a wonderful trip and we’re missing Provence greatly. We’ll certainly be making a return to see what else Fellow Velo and Provence have to offer! Thanks again!

My wife and I, aged 72 and 80, veterans of 25 cycling trips in Wales, England, France, Italy and Switzerland, most of them self-planned, enjoyed a fabulous trip in eastern Provence, designed in collaboration with Andy and Jane that took us on a route and to places we would otherwise never have been able to cycle to. Their warm, personal attention and support is what made it possible–picking us up, taking us to the top of locations we could not have ridden up to, providing us with deliriously beautiful and exciting rides above the gorge in the Verdon Natural Park and down from the top of the Massif des Maures, always with detailed maps and suggestions. They provided us a variety of distinctive lodging in unique villages, moved our luggage, were always available for any concerns, and made our trip truly superb. We can’t recommend them too strongly, have passed on their names to a number of our friends, and are already thinking of another travel adventure with them. Their attentive and truly personal care make Andy and Jane truly unique.

THANK YOU to Andy and Jane for helping us with a complicated, highly bespoke cycling trip to eastern Provence. We had five people ranging in ages from 20-85. From our very first email exchange until they dropped us off on the last day we found Fellow Velo to be organized, detail oriented, responsive and flexible. Their equipment was new and matched perfectly to our group of riders and the routes selected by them for us. I recommend Fellow Velo for anyone who wants a flawless cycling trip to southern France.

Wow! What an awesome trip!! We went in mid June with our 3 kids (ages 12,15. & 17) and it could not have been better. Fellowvelo took care of all the details so all we had to do is show up, ride and enjoy. The maps were super detailed and Andy gave us great options along the route for lunch breaks. Absolutely we will use Fellow Velo again for our next bike trip. Thanks Andy and Jane!!!

We had a big group of family a friends. 8 of us for 8 days from 13 to 79 with a wide range of abilities and interests. Andy and Jane did a great job of planning and supporting our trip. The mix of rides and locations throughout Provence was perfect. From mountain climbs to flowers and beachside rides. Andy’s knowledge of all the bike routes through small towns and rural lanes sent us through so many lovely spots that we could never have found on our own. The riding was great and the vehicle support made it much easier for our gang to mix and match the rides to their desires.

The mix of accomodation was also great. We’d asked for a mix of camping and hotels and the experience was just what we wanted. Getting more comfortable as the tour went on (la licorne in Cotignac was especially nice, definitely stay there) it was just great. The best tour I’ve ever done.

Jane and Andy sent us on an amazing bike trip through the south of France in Provence! Our chosen route was a great sampling of coastal riding and inland vineyards. We enjoyed seeing and riding through a few of the favorite vacationing beach towns of Europe as well as discovering the quaint elements of the countryside. Our accommodations were very suitable for my husband, myself and our two daughters (12 and 17). Fellow Velo made it very easy to just show up, hand them our bags, grab a map with very thorough directions, and we were on our way! Thank you Jane and Andy! We hope to be back!

Wow. What a fantastic tour of Provence we took with Fellow Velo. Jane and Andy had a tough job designing a bespoke tour for a group of Canadians with a very wide range of ages and abilities, but they managed to put together a package that pleased and challenged everyone. The routes were fantastic, beautiful and off the beaten path. They have an intimate knowledge of the area and guided us through roads and trials that we would never have been able to find ourselves – this alone is a great reason to go with a bespoke tour with a company like Fellow Velo. The accommodations were excellent, the villages were postcard perfect, and the on tour support was top notch. Jane and Andy were excellent hosts and very enjoyable to spend time with. I will be highly recommending Fellow Velo to anyone who is looking for a cycle tour in the south of France. Why go with a pre-packaged tour experience when you can design the perfect holiday for you?

  18. 5 out of 5

Andy and Jane provided us with the most amazing cycling adventure this summer. They were able to build a tour that was exactly what our diverse group was looking for. We camped, we sat by pools, we rode up really big hills, we rode down even bigger hills, we enjoyed the Mediterranean and the Gorges du Verdon. Sigh. Oh, and there was lavender and wine tastings and picnics. This was the trip of a lifetime that I hope to repeat at some point. Thanks again Jane and Andy! Hope to ride with you again someday!

My husband & I have just finished a long distant ride from St.Malo in the North west to Aigues-Mortes in the south. A massive 1020 miles carrying all our belongings, a trip of a life time that would have not been possible without Andy & Jane from Fellow Velo. From our initial contact way back in January they have made planning this trip of a lifetime a real pleasure. Nothing was ever too much trouble for either of them, always at the end of the phone. Andy’s route planning of this bespoke trip was superb. They really listened to what we wanted & took everything on board to book us our accommodation each night & wow some of these were magical. You can’t beat cycling 70km in 30degrees followed by jumping in a pool. An unbelievable experience that Fellow Velo made possible, cannot recommend & thank them enough. Top notch company.
Thank you both, you did a really fab job.

I just completed my second self-guided tour, thanks to Fellow Velo’s meticulous services. Andy and Jane are lovely, thoughtful, and hyper-prepared for all scenarios. Even though I was on a solo tour, I felt fully supported and looked after, and would check in with Andy nightly. I provided them with my starting city, ending city, and length of time, and they delivered a bespoke tour that exceeded all my expectations. Cycling in Europe is marvelous, although with challenges (their love of roundabouts is intense), but I felt confident with the maps and narratives supplied by Fellow Velo. During a 700-mile journey, I only had one 10-mile detour due to a confusing city layout (Sete). All the accommodations booked by Fellow Velo were charming, local, and right-sized. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Yet again Jane and Andy delivered the goods with this holiday in Provence. Countless hours spent driving from Cotignac to the Ventoux (and back again) just so as I could attempt a long held desire to be on the mountain thats figured in many Tour De France stages. The support that Jane and Andy gave was outstanding . All the routes chosen were superb as was the accommodations and any failure of map reading skills would quickly be resolved by a phone call to extremely knowledgeable people .Jane and Andy have a great love of France and its passed on to all those who cycle there . I would wholeheartedly recommend Fellowvelo to anyone who had a desire to cycle in a superb country.
Thank you Jane and Andy .

If like me you’ve always wanted to go on a cycling holiday but are not too sure about the logistics – get in touch with Jane and Andy! They will be behind you 100% of the way and you will definitely have the holiday of a lifetime.

I am a returning customer :-). Just had another wonderful week in the South of France. Nothing was too much trouble for Jane and Andy. B&B’s were great ( Stayed mostly at La Licorne this time round and Bernadette and Eric were superb hosts). Days were specifically tailored and carefully planned around my needs and preferences – with options to change built in. Dietary requirements also catered for (Jane arrived armed with a carton of soy milk!). Can’t ask for a better service.

Thank you Jane and Andy. See you next year for another cycling adventure in France!

First of all, we are so grateful that Jane and Andy offered to defer our trip to this September (my husband suffered an injury last summer before our scheduled trip date). We had frequent, thorough communication over the year, and knew that our trip with Fellow Velo was all in order. Jane and Andy have a great system in place. We received a detailed orientation to the week’s itinerary and equipment. My husband and I rode their personal tandem bike, and it was a smooth ride! We had all the necessary bike accessories, and Andy cheerful made adjustments to the equipment throughout the week. We rode with our two friends (4 of us total); our self-guided days went off without a hitch (with detailed navigation instructions). Andy was great company for the other guided days, and we were glad to have him lead through some complicated routes along the Mediterranean coast. :) We stayed in a combination of chambres d’hotes and hotels, which gave us a varied sampling of the Provence region. We miss those European breakfasts, bien sur! We would happily recommend Fellow Velo to other cyclists. Well done, Jane and Andy.

Flawless experience. This was my first solo vacation and my first time in Provence. When I reached out to Andy and Jane they responded right away and provided me with a custom itinerary that included all of the activities I requested (biking, kayaking, vineyards) and also recommended quite a few things based on their expertise of the area. Each village, path and detour along way were beautiful and I always felt safe. They were also always available whenever I had questions and also made themselves available to pick me up on time whenever my stops required transportation. I could not recommend them enough and look forward to booking my next biking vacation with them in the future.

We were blessed with the luck of being the winners of the 2018 Fellow Velo competition. We extended the prize by a few days and have just returned from a truly wonderful time in Provence. Andy and Jane were accommodating from the start with excellent communication, organisation, accommodation choices and local knowledge. I think Andy is a walking encyclopaedia with a very interesting fact to satisfy each of my enquiries. Nothing felt like a problem for them, including changing our requirements at the very last minute during the holiday. There is nothing that I can fault Andy and Jane for regarding our holiday experience in magical Provence. I do have to own not taking their advice to prepare a little for fitness, but even then our rides were very achievable with their support. We highly recommend this gem of a company for a very good experience of France. We will be back!!!

We have always wanted to cycle in Provence .. Andy & Jane made our dream come true!
September appears to be the ideal time to visit not too hot, the itinerary and routes supplied were ideal with the odd uplift we were on our way to seeing the Verdon Gorge, Route de Crêtes with many more wonderful sights and stopping in fantastic accommodation along the way. It surpassed what we thought we would get. Andy was always on hand to ensure we had everything we needed, the guidance notes were comprehensive & understandable, Andy gave us space to enjoy the holiday whilst being available if required.
I believe Andy & Jane have a great company that puts the customer at the fore front right from start to finish the correspondence was informative giving us different holiday options & ensuring we were in the right place for collection from the airport to moving from
    One location to another.
We decided to take our own bikes Andy & Jane took our bike boxes and stored them until our return. Andy helped assemble them and fixed a puncture ( he has strong thumbs no need for tyre levers)!
All in all we would highly recommend this company we will definitely be back.

Andy and Jane are consistently cheerful and attentive. While we did struggle a bit with the map it was all part of the adventure. We will use Fellow Velo again!

My husband and I, and our good friends booked a biking tour through France a year and a half ago. It was such a fun trip, I promised myself I would write a review. And now…a year and a half later…memories still come to mind that make me smile.
I would highly recommend Fellow Vello. Andy and Jane were a delight to work with and to finally meet on our arrival. They were very attentive to our requests. Daily meet-ups kept us up-to-date on maps and accommodations. Each evening we stayed in a new inn in a new small town. All were different and all were memorable.
I usually enjoy the process of planning all the details of our vacations, but Andy and Jane have proved to me that they could take our ideas and create the perfect vacation. We all hope to see them again in the future!

Andy and Jane created a marvelous bike trip for a perfect self-guided mother-daughter trip in the South of France. They were amazing from start to finish. From the moment I had the good fortune of stumbling across their website in search of a cycle tour, I could tell they offered something special. They always responded promptly and enthusiastically and addressed every concern — from route planning to toe clips, they took care of all of our needs and wishes with grace and equanimity. The route they planned for us was just the right blend of mountain and seaside, gorgeous views, quiet backroads with plenty of great suggestions about where to stop. The accommodations were fantastic and perfectly suited our needs. Andy and Jane were there to help whenever we needed them, and provided us with all of the support necessary to have our own adventures — clear maps, personalized routes, great bikes that they took care of and serviced as needed along the way. They were never far from contact if we required any help, but made it very comfortable for us to set out on our own, which is exactly what I had hoped for. Personally, they are simply the loveliest, most generous and patient people who inspire trust, confidence and a great sense of fun. I am already busy dreaming of my next trip to the Verdon gorge. I give them my highest recommendation — you won’t be disappointed.

We had a bespoke self guided route and were extremely impressed by the service. Having never been on a cycling holiday before we weren’t quite sure what to expect. However Andy and Jane made sure this was a holiday we weren’t going to forget! The pre-trip information and notes were very helpful, and we felt confident of the route and what to expect. All the accommodation was better than expected and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring all the little towns we visited. Also, there was still scope to adjust the route during the week, which was useful given we had not been to the area before. Andy and Jane went above and beyond-thank you for making such a special trip.

For my mum and me, cycling through France has been a long-time dream. What better way to see such a beautiful, rich country, while immersing yourself in the culture? In the lead-up to this trip, expectations were high. Somehow – through meticulous planning, experience, and fairy dust – Jane and Andy managed to exceed every single one of them!

From communication to equipment; accommodation to the itinerary, everything was exceptional. I was somewhat apprehensive at how ‘rigorous’ the cycling would be; while both my mum and I are fit, we hadn’t been in the saddle for some time. However, each day was perfectly tailored to our needs – with the flexibility to change, if needed.

Next time, we’ll be bringing the whole family :) Thank you for an unforgettable holiday.

Andy and Jane were our personal guides for two days of the Tour de France. This was arranged by my daughter as a birthday gift.
We were impressed by the friendly professionalism and the in depth knowledge of,and logistical expertise relating to this prestigious
Andy and Jane are passionate about all related cycling matters and I can wholeheartedly recommend Fellow Velo to anyone contemplating
    a cycling experience .

My daughters, dad and I really enjoyed the cycling trip Fellow Velo organised for us in September 2019 in the Var region of Provence. The whole trip was very stress free. Andy and Jane met us at Les Arcs train station- which is just a short trip from Paris. The bikes were great (there was initially a slight gear problem with mine but Andy and Jane had a spare one in the van!!) and it was no problem for my dad to hire an e-bike. My daughters’ bikes fitted them well. The accommodation was all fantastic and just as described.. and the cycling routes were beautiful and varied. I loved how the cycling was largely off road and took us to lots of places with character, charm and history.. and great food!! We could explore at our own pace and the 35-55km distances each day were perfect for my daughters (aged 9 and 12) . Andy and Jane took a lot of care with designing a route that would suit our family. They biked with us for the first 2 days to make sure we were comfortable with navigation and the bikes and then we were on our own for a few days but with the reassurance that Andy and Jane were only about an hour away in the van if we needed them! The best part was seeing my almost ‘80 year young’ dad enjoying the cycling so much… except the torrential downpour that hit us one day but Andy gave him a lift in the van until it cleared!! My dad and daughters really loved the cycling and having everything so well organised really helped. Dad is even keen to buy an e-bike back home!

We will definitely be back to do another trip! Thanks Fellow Velo!

This was our second cycling adventure with Andy and Jane and we were looked after right from the start. Prior to our holiday we were kept advised on the plans and itinerary which was greatly reassuring. The selected accommodation was excellent and really contributed to the holiday experience. Andy and Jane continued to provide help offering us lights if required should we wish to cycle in the evening.
With so much to consider and plan for when going on a cycling holiday, I do believe that Fellow Vello would be the only company we would use when we go on our next cycling holiday which will hopefully be in 2020, Thank you again for a fantastic holiday.

My husband and I are so impressed with the support and detailed planning provided by Jane and And from Fellow Velo. Our first day we had a road detour and got “off the route” so even though we were just the two of us biking, Andy figured out where we were and drove the van to us so we could show us how to get back on the route. It was reassuring that he and Jane were just a phone call away during our 6 days of travel. We loved biking through the small hill towns and countryside of Provence as well at the flexibility to make changes as needed along the way. We would highly recommend Fellow Velo for arranging a memorable trip and would definitely plan another bike trip with them.

Our third tour with Andy and Jane, and this time we brought our friends! All 9 of us (yes 9) cycled up (small) hills and whizzed down much bigger ones, each time feeling so well supported by the ‘Magic Green Van’. Provence was beautiful, with its vineyards and cypress trees, its dirt paths and quiet D roads. We lunched on cheese and bread by the side of the Train des Pignes, enjoying ourselves enormously. The first time holidaying on bikes for our friends and their kids and we couldn’t have been better looked after by Andy and Jane. They are SO patient, and happy to fit in with evolving plans at the last minute. Despite their amazing local knowledge they are still able to see things through the eyes of the first timer and pick routes and locations to suit each family’s taste. We are looking forward to our 4th holiday with them!
