Product Description
In a little corner of Provence, this great cycling tour holds a huge variety of experiences and, lets you explore the delights of the Côte d’Azur in a gentle and relaxing way. Often just tucked behind the glitz and the glamour, you will have plenty of opportunities to dip into the Riviera lifestyle or you can choose to glide by along its lesser known trails.
This part of the Riviera issues some of the international spotlight that can bear down on Cannes, Nice and Monaco but it has some beautiful coastal towns and villages offering a quieter and slightly more gentle pace of life.
Start your holiday by dipping your toes in the sea before beginning your ride along the crest of the Massif des Maures. Then take an exhilarating rush down to the azure water of the Mediterranean before exploring the harbours and perching villages of this beautiful part of Provence.
You can choose to cycle on every day of the tour or create your own excursions; a boat over to explore the island of the Port Cros National Park or, a day just soaking up the sights, sounds and sun in St Tropez.
Unwind in a Bed by the Med.

After a 2-year postponement due to COVID, Bed by the Med was a fantastic way to experience some stunning parts of the Côte d’Azur that may not be on the radar of most foreign tourists. Thanks to Jane and Andy’s local expertise and first-rate support (including immediately coming to the rescue when some unexpected challenges arose), we spent a glorious week cycling by the coast with the logistics taken care of. Fellow Velo’s carefully curated accommodation choices were also great, with some delightful locations we would never have found ourselves, and welcoming hoteliers taking good care of our bikes and tolerating my sad attempts at speaking French. The self-guided tour itinerary provided a lovely mix of biking, relaxation and freedom for our group of 3 and we highly recommend the tour. It will not disappoint!
Michael –
We had a wonderful tailored tour courtesy of Andy and Jane. We wanted something more challenging and we got it! But there were beautiful rides, a steady progression in the extent of the climbs, some on-road and off-road and all with the knowledge that if we couldn’t complete it we could be met. I was impressed by the bike, the intimate knowledge of the local areas and the planned routes. It was lovely cycling with Andy and Jane on the guided rides and the notes and navigation app were excellent on the days it was self-guided. I especially loved our characterful hotel in Saint-Maxime, and the ride in the middle of the week, which had a steady climb with beautiful scenery and not a soul around. Can’t wait to go again and I’d recommend Fellow Velo without hesitation.
